AI golf swing app for iPhone

Birdia product page (in beta) · reviewed 12 Oct 2026

Birdia (our product) has an iPhone app, currently in beta through TestFlight: sign up at birdia.app and you get an invite. It analyzes your swing with just the iPhone camera, no sensors, computing pose on the phone itself, and explains the cause of each fault with its source. You can also start right away in your browser at golf.birdia.app.

What Birdia does for this

From the encyclopedia: one fault and its drill

Careless alignment (body and face aimed at different spots)

Birdia doesn't measure it with the camera: it suggests it as a likely cause according to the doctrine
What it looks like
Down-the-line: the lines of the feet, hips and shoulders are not parallel to the ball-target line; the shoulders usually end up open.
What it does to the ball
The path follows the shoulders: open produces out-to-in with a pull or slice; closed, a push or hook. Dispersion doubles without the swing changing at all.
How to fix it
Pick an intermediate target 20 inches in front of the ball: align the clubface to it first, then build your stance parallel

Drill: Railroad tracks

Goal
Align body and face the way the pros practice
How to do it
Put one stick on the ground pointing at the target just outside the ball, and another parallel along your foot line. Hit balls checking that shoulders and hips follow the foot stick. Remove one stick every 10 balls to wean off the aid.

Limits (what Birdia doesn't do)

The iPhone app is in beta (TestFlight). On some models (currently several iPhone Pro devices) live detection still does not recognise the body; we are fixing it. Birdia has no Apple Watch app and does not measure clubhead speed (it only estimates hand speed), and validated 3D metrics are still in development.

Frequently asked questions

How do I install Birdia on my iPhone?

Right now it installs through TestFlight, Apple's beta app: sign up at birdia.app, you get the invite and install it from TestFlight. If you'd rather not wait, the web app at golf.birdia.app runs in your browser.

Does it work with Apple Watch?

No: Birdia has no Apple Watch app. All the analysis comes from the iPhone camera, which sees your whole body (posture, sway, early extension); a watch only sees what your wrist does.

Do my videos leave my iPhone?

No, unless you share them. Pose is computed on the iPhone itself; only the minimum needed for coaching goes to the cloud.

How much does Birdia cost?

There is a free plan. Premium costs €14.99/month or €99/year and Pro-IA €29.99/month, VAT included. Payment happens only inside the app, through the App Store or Google Play. Birdia is in beta.
