AI golf swing app for Android

Birdia product page (in beta) · reviewed 12 Oct 2026

Birdia (our product) has an Android app, currently in beta: sign up at birdia.app and you get an invite to install it from Google Play. It analyzes your swing with the phone camera, no sensors, computing pose on the phone itself, and explains the cause of each fault with its source. If you don't want to wait, the web app at golf.birdia.app runs in your browser.

What Birdia does for this

From the encyclopedia: one fault and its drill

Casting (early loss of lag)

Birdia doesn't measure it with the camera: it suggests it as a likely cause according to the doctrine
What it looks like
Face-on: the wrist-shaft angle opens as soon as the downswing starts; with the lead arm horizontal, the angle to the shaft already exceeds 120 degrees.
What it does to the ball
No lag: a big loss of distance, a high weak flight, and fat strikes because the low point moves back.
How to fix it
Hold the wrist angle until your hands pass the trail thigh: speed is released at the bottom, not from the top

Drill: Lag pump

Goal
Hold the wrist angle on the downswing
How to do it
From the top, swing down slowly until your hands reach the trail thigh, keeping the angle between the lead arm and the shaft; swing back up and repeat twice. On the third pump, hit the ball. The feeling is of holding back, not of force.

Limits (what Birdia doesn't do)

The Android app is in beta: expect some bugs, and the invite isn't instant. On some phone models live detection still doesn't recognise the body; we're fixing it using each phone's data. Birdia does not measure clubface or clubhead speed, and it has no on-course GPS or watch app.

The web app runs at golf.birdia.app. The Android and iPhone apps are in beta: sign up and we send you an invite.

Frequently asked questions

Is Birdia on Google Play?

Yes, in beta: sign up at birdia.app, tell us you use Android and we'll send you an invite to install it from Google Play. Meanwhile you can start in your browser at golf.birdia.app.

Does it work with a Bluetooth remote?

Yes. A Bluetooth remote that acts as a volume button, or the phone's own volume button, starts the recording; you can also just say "ready". No more walking back to the phone between shots.

Which languages does the coach speak?

The voice speaks English, Spanish or German: whichever language your app is set to.

How much does Birdia cost?

There is a free plan. Premium costs €14.99/month or €99/year and Pro-IA €29.99/month, VAT included. Payment happens only inside the app, through the App Store or Google Play. Birdia is in beta.
