In the cloud model, your video is uploaded to an external server, processed there, and the result is sent back to you. It's powerful, but it means a file of you travels across the internet and lives on someone else's infrastructure.

In the on-device model, the analysis happens inside your own phone. The video never leaves your device; the AI detects your body and computes the metrics locally. Analyzing on-device has a clear privacy upside and an honest limitation: the processing power is your phone's, not a data center's. We prefer that trade-off so your video doesn't travel anywhere without your permission.

What a camera actually measures (and what it doesn't)

It's worth understanding what information that video really holds. A phone camera captures your motion in 2D, and positions and timings are estimated from there. That's not the same as a radar unit like TrackMan, which measures the ball and club with physical sensors and whose ball flight laws describe what produces the trajectory. The camera can't see real ball speed or spin; it infers body movement.
